On the 25th and 26th of January, God blessed us with the awesome opportunity to record the songs that He created in us.  On those two very long days we captured art and put it on a little disc.  In the process of that, Gaining Ground truly came together.  Before that weekend Gaining Ground was sadly Mike and P.J., who were playing and creating  in one spirit, and then, Aaron who was beautifully complimenting the spirit we were projecting.  On the two days we recorded, the three musicians meshed completely as one and a new one at that.  After we had set up on the first day and the adrenaline was pumping (mainly from the excitement of it being the first time the three of us were in studio together and also taking on the enormous task of trying to record 7 songs in two days!), we started off with "Vanity".  "Vanity" is usually a really good song for us.  That day the song became more powerful than we could believe.  The chords, tones, and the rhythm flowed through our headphones as an amazing new sound.  It was no longer Aaron complimenting Mike and PJ, but rather, each individual complementing the other two.  As that happened, the songs came alive.  We walked away on the second day, well actually the third day being that it was three o'clock in the morning, knowing that more happened than just putting our songs on a disk.  In those two days three guys become one, and seven songs became testimonies of a band that is truly one of a kind.

Aaron all tuckered out after a long day of recording
